Spindles designed to work at high variable rotational speeds and orthogonalizing group
The machine features many innovations, among which stands out the use of gauging spindles designed to work at high variable rotational speeds of up to 4900 rpm. Even when working at the highest rotational speed, their temperature variation with respect to the idle state is minimal: this means no dimensional variations induced by temperature.
The orthogonalizing group, fitted at the input of the second grinding module, can automatically check and adjust diagonal dimensions with absolute precision thanks to the independent pusher position control system patented by Tecnema Breton Group.


The tool wear checking and correction system
The drive to boost production performance and finished product quality is greatly assisted by the tool wear checking and correction system.
Specifically, the outbound tile dimensions can be monitored by means of thickness measurement lasers installed on both side squaring modules.
In addition, actual wear of the grinding wheels can be read directly with an automatic check-up performed by an ultra high precision laser probe.
If any deviation is detected with respect to the programmed measurements, the operator can instruct the system to reposition the grinding wheels automatically to recover tool wear differences.


New machine management and control electronics by Siemens
The synergy between Tecnema and Breton also created the new machine management and control electronics with Siemens PLCs, which is extremely reliable and whose replacement parts can and will be found all over the world for many years to come.


Integrability in processing line
The squaring line can be integrated upline with a tile cutting system, operating exclusively in dry cutting mode.
The tile cut is prepared by a longitudinal or transverse scoring tool and is then completed on a splitting machine through the action of rollers that break the tile along the scored incisions.
